About Us

So here is a little about me in a nutshell… My background is in engineering and that is what I do for a living, I’m a mom to a wonderfully smart and witty little girl named Alana, I’m married to Matt and I’m a dog mom to Daisy. We are originally from Texas, but we moved to Wisconsin for work back in 2016. Since living in Wisconsin we have lived in two houses, we built our current house last year in 2019 and moved into it in early 2020…just in time for a global pandemic, cue COVID-19.

I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to travel, its my hobby. And to fuel the wanderlust in us we use frequent flyer and loyalty points, this is also a hobby. I do also like to bake, cupcakes mainly. And I try and dabble in creative DYI projects at home but usually don’t find the time and I end up buying something instead…

When I’m focusing on “me time” you’ll find me hitting the pavement for a run. I try and run three times a week (two of those three times is usually in the 4 o’clock hour before everyone else is awake).

I have been blogging since 2011 over at travel mi amor but ever since having my little one I feel like I am more interested in lifestyle blogging then just blogging about travel. So I created The Spotted Bulldog. I hope you enjoy reading about our travels, projects and general shenanigans.

The Spotted Bulldog

I named this blog after our English Bulldog, Lola. She was such a light in our lives and will be forever missed by all the lives she touched.

When we moved to Wisconsin we got another bulldog, Daisy. She too is spotted, well, more chunks of color than spots :)
